CHAPTER 638

After Rebecca came home, Benjamin didn’t tell her that her mother was admonishing him unfairly, as he didn’t want Rebecca to feel bad and annoyed because she came from long hours of work. He didn’t tell her what Elizabeth had done, either, by locking the door and trying to trap him in the room for who knew how long?

However, when Rebecca asked him the question, ‘Where were you last night?’ he felt like he was perhaps doing the wrong thing by keeping things to himself. Since Rebecca was deeply craving honesty as well as transparency, why not tell her the truth?

And then Benjamin explained to her what had happened last night,

Rebecca raised her eyebrows. “You’re telling me that you went out to buy a sim card, and some people threatened you and took you to a casino, where you dealt with the gangsters and returned home?”

“Yep, I didn’t tell you every detail, but that’s the gist of it,” Benjamin said.
