Emily was stunned, and her eyes turned red.
When Brendan saw this, his headache worsened, and a sense of irritability began pressing on his nerves. Frowning, he said, “Deirdre, don’t talk nonsense without evidence! What does this have to do with Emily?”
Deirdre’s pupils shrank, not hiding her disappointment.
