As Ray reached the final gas station scheduled for the day, he saw a group of people swarming around the fuel storage area, busy at work—prying open oil tanks and siphoning fuel.

A quick count showed seven of them working, while two others sat inside a vehicle—a heavy-duty truck.

Well, that figured. Without a big truck, how much fuel could they possibly haul back?

What made Ray's face darken, though, was this: to keep warm, these idiots had actually lit a fire in a washbas
