“Timothy, do you know who it is you’re really up against?”
“Sir, Dustin is a criminal of the highest degree. The higher-ups have already put out a prime level warrant to arrest him. Aren’t you the one who keeps telling me not to be afraid of powerful people in the quest for justice? Don’t you always say not to be swayed by any physical or psychological temptations?”
Timothy assumed that Anson was being tempted by a bribe. That was why he was giving this righteous speech.
“Enough. No need to say anything further,” Anson said in frustration.
Timothy could not tell what was going on. He tried to persuade Anson with talks of justice. It displeased Anson greatly.
“Sir, we must arrest Dustin and make him stand trial! We must do right by all those innocent people who died violently at his hand!” Timothy was still going on.
“I told you to shut up!” Anson roared. He was unable to hold himself back.
Was Timothy an idiot? Could he not tell that Anson was displeased at the moment?
