I was greeted at the office by Melissa, Taís, and Julia standing near the elevator.
"Finally, huh, Martinez!" Melissa complained, and I looked at my watch.
"I'm not late, Mel!" I replied.
"But you could have been kind enough to arrive a little earlier to tell us how it went with Sam. We're curious. And I was the one who helped you!" Melissa was eager for news.
"Oh, that's it!" I smiled at them. "So come on, let's have some coffee, because my weekend was wonderful!"
They smiled and started jumping and clapping, like a bunch of groupies cheering for a boy band. After I told them a summary of how Sam had forgiven me and how happy I was, we went to work, but I pulled Melissa into my office. She must have information that interested me.
