However, Eric wasn't the only one opposing this idea. Ruth and others from the Combat Department also objected. After all, Pierce was the one overseeing the whole situation. If something happened to him, who would take charge?

"Master, let me do it," Ruth said, glancing at Eric. "If anything goes wrong, Eric can take care of me. You can't afford to be incapacitated. The Combat Department can manage without me but not without you."

She had a clear grasp of the situation. Eric had examined her thoroughly many times, probably knowing every mole on her body. If she tested the virus and something went wrong, Eric would know how to handle it.
