Harvey didn't hide what had happened from Vaida. He answered the phone with a smile.

"I did meet the Priestess. While we had a confrontation and our chat didn't exactly end on a delightful note, we didn't fight. But now, I'm sure that the Priestess is siding with Dan. Now that your dad is back, the Priesthood has almost no possibility of ever winning the throne. The only thing they can do is side with Dan."

Listening to Harvey's calm analysis, Vaida paused and then said slowly, "If the Priesthood truly is siding with Dan, then it's going to be very problematic."

Harvey smiled.

"It is quite problematic, true—especially when their effectiveness increases exponentially when they're working together. In fact, their shared goal seems to be kicking me out of the city first. The Priesthood is being cautious and is aiming to make me leave on my own accord. But for Dan, he probably wants to kill me and won't stop until I'm dead."
