Chief Jackson scoffed.

“At least you know that much!

“But look at the patient! He’s still struggling!

“His heartbeat’s still showing on the sensor! He’s not dead!

“To us doctors, it’s our biggest humiliation to see a patient die in front of our eyes!”

“That’s no heartbeat. It’s breathing. Something’s breathing inside of him.

“If you get close to him, then believe me… That thing will enter your body.

“You’ll turn exactly like him! I speak nothing but the truth. It’s up to you to believe me or not.”

Chief Jackson’s righteous expression disappeared, and he instinctively shivered.

“Nonsense!” he exclaimed, gritting his teeth. “How did the staff who put Nobuyuki in there come out perfectly fine a few hours ago, then?!”

“The thing inside him isn’t matured yet. It probably matured an hour or so ago.

“If I’m correct, Nobuyuki’s heartbeat must’ve restarted during that time, right? He was probably no different from a dead person before that.”
