“ What’s wrong? ” I ask Jake who has locked the main door and is now standing by it, his hands crossed in front of him.

“ Nothing, Luna. ” His eyes flicker across the living room before landing over me.

This is getting on my nerves now. He always stands outside and never locks the door from inside.

“ Jake. Tell me. ” I sigh, getting up from the couch.

I don’t know why but I have a bad feeling about this whole thing. Ryke’s presence in North Forest Pack is making me even more restless.

I know he gave the Alpha position to one of his friends whom I never met. The thing I don’t understand is why did he go there and why did he look so serious when he left?

“ It’s nothing Luna. Please sit down and wait until Alpha comes back. ” Jake answers blandly.

I plop down on the couch, my gaze travelling towards the living room’s glass wall. It’s been hours since he left and he is still not back.
