Chapter 3

When she got home and found herself alone, she cried a lot, the visit to where that man did not sit well with her. Now that she was in her home, one that didn't really belong to her anymore, because it was only a matter of weeks before the bank got the house, she began to cry. Perhaps if a decent job gave her the remuneration she needed, then she wouldn't be in that situation, but unfortunately she had no choice, because what she received as an employee in a normal place fell short.

“Hello little one” greeted the cat who immediately approached her, a very affectionate black and white fluffy “I no longer feel alone, your welcome makes me feel better”

She stroked him for a while, before going for a shower. She had to think things through, it was not an irrelevant decision. Two days was a short time. She went to bed with the issue on her mind, the next day she even ate before going to the hospital. Her morning visit did her mother good, who was glad to see her, cancer had her bad, caught in her clutches, but every time she saw her daughter, she smiled again, and she felt more alive than ever.

“Mother...” She was a dark-haired woman, with enormous eyes, now there were dark grooves under her, and although the brightness of her gaze faded with each passing day, she continued to give away the sincere sparkle in a smile.

“Honey, have you eaten yet?”

“Yes” she lied to her, she didn't want to worry her, it was best for her mother to be calm. How do you feel?

“Happy to see you. You know that there is nothing more important than seeing you my love, have you managed to find a job?”

“The truth is that...”

“Okay, you've found it” he hastened to say, and she didn't dare deny it, because he looked at her beautiful smile and didn't want to erase it.

“Yes mom y and we will be fine, you'll see, our situation is going to change” she continued, touching his hair.

“Give me a hug, come from her” he surrounded her with affection, that unconditional maternal affection of hers helped her make the correct decision “You know I want to see you happy, that you be well, I don't want to leave leaving you...”

“No, mom, you're not going to die, please don't go on” she said through tears.

“We must be prepared for whatever” she reminded him, while she held back her tears.

“I don't lose hope, besides you can't leave me alone”

“If it were up to me, I would stay with you for a lifetime”

“I know”

“Look at me” She cupped her chin and made him look at her. Don't worry.

“Mom, I have the money for your treatment, that's why I'm sure you won't leave me, you won't” she informed her, leaving her mother stunned by her.

It was not part of Victoria's plans to tell her mother such a thing, but she had already released it, because she was determined to accept the Arab's proposal. She knew that she could afford everything anyway, but something told her that this man would back down if she denied him a child.

“How did you get it?” Don't tell me you went to the bank for a loan...

“No, nothing like that, Mom. That is to say... It has been otherwise, but it is not important now”

“Yes, it's important, honey. Tell me” She took his hand

“Okay” she sighed, but she was already thinking of a lie. I ran into a very special lady, I told her my situation and she offered to pay everything for her in exchange for me working with her for a while, she's all mom.

“What? That's a miracle, Victoria. I believe you, sometimes we do not cross people, but angels on our way to help us”

But in reality the only one who appeared in her life was Rashid, the devil himself. She caught herself, before blurting out the truth. She couldn't tell her mother what she was up to. Still, she would have to do it later, her mother wasn't stupid, much less blind enough not to notice a pregnancy. She would manage later to make her aware of what was going to happen, but not yet that nothing was a fact.

“Okay, I'm going to let you rest, you need it, mom”

“I want you to stay with me for a while longer, honey” But I know you're right, I must rest. Don't be long to come back. She left a kiss on the back of her.

“Okay I love you”

“And I you”

As she walked down the hall her phone began to ring. It was an unknown sender, which is why she took longer to respond.

“Say”

“Victoria, this is Rashid, I just wanted to know if you thought about what we talked about”

“I already thought about it, yes, I thought about it a lot and I think I'll accept”

“Do you believe or are you completely sure? Tell me”

“Okay, I completely agree, I accept” She explained, as she sat in the waiting room

“Well, it was the right decision” She assured before hanging up on him.

As she stared at her cell phone screen with a lump in her throat, on her part, Rashid smiled as he walked over to her minibar and poured himself a glass of whiskey. He took a sip.

“You are in my hands, Victoria, I always win, always” he emitted victoriously, alone in his office, satisfied with the call he made.

It wasn't just a question of a baby, of money, of an heir, because that young virgin meant more, the Arab knew it. Once again, things returned to their place.
