The large groups of vengeful spirits sensed her. They immediately rushed toward her as if they saw food after being starved for weeks.

Alex was exceedingly annoyed by this. ‘If something were to happen to her, this happy ending would end with a funeral instead!’

He then picked Jade up with both arms and lunged in Phoenix’s direction.

It was fortunate that he already broke the seal set upon him.

With a loud roar, the spirits slowly backed away one after another. Alex then grabbed Phoenix with his other arm and rushed out of the spirit-filled place.
