Darius stepped on the bodyguard and smiled mockingly. "I think this is the best time for you to leave some famous last words. Even if the other bodyguards aren't willing to save you, they should be okay with passing on your message. In fact, I'd do that for you."

His tone was gentle and cajoling; he sounded kind … if one could ignore the fact that he was stepping on the bodyguard. "Don't you have anything to say?" The bodyguard lay on the floor silently, making Darius frown.

"Well, this is so
