I didn't mind acting like a caveman at all. When the short girl started saying my concern for her safety was overblown, I threw her over my shoulder and walked away. I wouldn't leave her alone and I wouldn't miss the opportunity to have her close to me. I was combining business with pleasure, and she wouldn't ruin my high.

As we approached my house, I felt Manu grow more tense beside me. Was she going to dump me? I wasn't prepared for that.
