Grunt cast a gaze full of love and yearning toward Princess Dorothy as he spoke. "I know you loved me, Princess, and I do not wish to lie to you. It was my fault for abandoning you. Will you forgive me?

"When I send you back to the Imperial Sky Palace, I'll ask His Majesty for your hand in marriage. Since Darryl Darby is dead, no one will come between us again. Would you like that?"

Grunt's eyes were filled with expectation and affection as he said the last word.

Indeed, Grunt still wanted to return to the Imperial Sky Palace.
