Thea stomped her feet anxiously, but she did not know how to refute Darryl convincingly.

Darryl was stubborn.

"Darryl, you are too bold!" Seth commented sullenly. He pointed at Darryl and rebuked, "Are you openly confronting the entire Pearl City?"

Darryl chuckled and said, "Mayor, don't use any of your ridiculous reasons to intimidate me. If you intend to protect Grady, then just say it out loud!"

"Mayor." Grady struggled to pull himself up from the ground. He growled bitterly, "Darryl bashed me up before so many people, and he has been so disrespectful to you, you should take action immediately! There's no need to waste time talking nonsense anymore!"

Without hesitation, Seth pointed at Darryl and gave an order. "Guards! Take Darryl down now!"

Pitter-patter!

Soon, the guards rushed into the hall; there were hundreds of them.

Those guards were in charge of Pearl City's safety. They reported directly to the Mayor, and they were all rather powerful.

The guests were prompted to
