Failing to get out of the way in time, Shadowblade was already behind her when she turned around. Her face instantly paled as he grinned and thrust his sword toward her belly.

"Ivy!" Nova screamed as she rushed forward.

The long sword pierced through Ivy's stomach, and her eyes went dim.

"Damn it!" Nova cursed, transforming into a streak of golden light as she grasped Shadowblade's neck, her blade fiercely stabbing toward his chest. Alas, her attack was futile.

Shadowblade merely smiled.

Nicholas' sword sliced through the air but he failed to even cut through Shadowblade's clothes. Strider and the others also launched their attacks but it was to little effect, only causing Shadowblade momentary pain.

Strider and Nicholas used their hands and feet to lock Shadowblade down, while Sylvia, Remy, and Helen continuously assaulted him, forcing Shadowblade to retreat several steps.
