The lead security guard’s breathing
quickened, tickling Darius’ skin. However, there was nothing malicious about
his expression; curiosity flickered in his eyes as he asked, “Why didn’t you
stop me from getting in? You and I are the only ones in this elevator, so you
can easily break the surveillance cameras and attack me if you wish. It’s clear
that I’m no match for you. There’s no doubt I’ll get defeated if you strike
now.”
He stared at Darius with a complicated
whirlwind of emotions, but the one thing he did not feel was fear. Standing
opposite Darius, he kept both hands by his sides while raising his head in a
relaxed manner.
Darius returned the former’s stare. Soon,
the elevator arrived on the 10th floor, and a smile curved on Darius’ face.
“Well, I’ll have to make your expectations
a reality then.” After saying that, he extended his arm.
While nothing seemed unusual about his
action, it set off a gust of wind inside the elevator. The wind blew so
mightily that the lead secur
