Rafael didn’t return to his office. With his mind in turmoil, he stepped into the elevator and went straight down to the parking garage, unaware that Letícia, his secretary, was discreetly following him.

When he unlocked the car doors, she appeared behind him.

“Are you okay?” she asked, concern in her eyes.

He turned around, surprised, but relaxed when he saw her.

“Yes, Letícia. I just need to get out for a bit. Would you like to come with me?”

“I can?”

“Of course. I’m inviting you.”
