"You know now that ability users exist in this world," Ray said calmly. "Doug was one. So am I. You can probably guess what my ability is. And I can tell you this—I control a huge amount of supplies. A lot. Enough for you to eat meat and fish every day for several lifetimes.

"I also have a villa. There's electricity, heating, and hot showers. If you follow me, you get all of that. The choice is yours."

After speaking, Ray put away the food and drinks, storing them back in his otherworldly stor
